GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF GRAVITY IN
THE ISLAND OF LUZON, PHILIPPINES

INTRODUCTION
This paper is a qualitative synthesis of
the results of a ground gravity survey
conducted in the Island of Luzon,
Philippines. Gravity values established
in 180 stations by the U.S. Army Map
Service, 175 stations by the Philippine
Coast and Geodetic Survey, 230 stations
by petroleun exploration concessionaires
and 530 stations by the Bureau of Mines
provide the basic data used in this
paper.
