CHLORITE AND ZEOLITE
ALTERATIONS IN THE "UPPER ZIGZAG" FORMATION ALONG BUED
RIVER, TUBA, BENGUET
ROLANDO E. PEÑA
INTRODUCTION
Sandstones and tuffs of the "Upper
Zigzag" Formation in the Bued River
section contain considerable alteration
minerals, the more common and persistent
of which are zeolites and chlorite. The
zeolites are mostly allotrimorphic-granular,
but in places, they show fibrous,
spherulitic and idiomorphic forms.
Chlorite usually occurs as interstitial
material and occasionally show
spherulitic structure.
